Q: Sales Representative Jobs...r they scams, I have a 2nd interview 2morrow w/ a marketing company...?
Is anyone a sales representative for a marketing or sales firm? It's an entry-level job, are they scams or the real deal, they always say they are hiring for expansion...how do I know what's a scam and what's not???? I have a 2nd interview 2morrow and I don't want to waste my time!!!! Thanks...

A: A lot depends on how they pay and who the company is. If they pay on commission only they may not be a good company to work for unless you are a great sales person and the product is a good one you can sell easily. If they pay a straight salary they may at least be more legitimate. Check out the better business burea at: www.bbb.com put in the company name and you will get results as to if they are a member and how many complaints have been filed in the last year.

Q: traveling sales representative jobs?
What companies or industries offer positions for traveling sales representatives? I'd like to be in the hotel/resort/golf industries if there is anything like this.

A: How about companies that make the products you see at the golf course? The equipment in the pro shop, the materials and machines used to maintain the course. The golf carts. The cash register sytems. The beverages. The lawnmowers. Etc. Take a trip to the golf course and write down the name of every company you see. They hire sales people to sell their product. Some of them will require travel (like the golf carts).

Q: What labor markets should be considered when recruiting to hire a sales representative job?

If you are looking for someone very ambitious, you can look to people who were successful selling competitive b2b products/services, ex-military personel, ex-Division I or II athletes (or Olympic athletes), beverage distributors, Nordstrom salespeople...Those are some options. Good luck!

Q: I need materials for a Sales Representative job interview with a top Multinational company.?

A: First, find out everything you can about the company. You do this through the internet, the local chamber of commerce, and if its a specialized field company, then there are groups for those that may have local chapters in your area. A phone call can get you a lot of info. You can also call the company and get info from the reception desk, or the customer service department. You need a great looking resume, a clean and pressed suit, polished shoes. Put all your paperwork into a briefcase if you can, that always looks nice. Don't wear cologne or too much hair product, but definately shower! Take a pad of paper and make notes during your itnerview about things like: their customer base, the company projection of growth and expansion, who to talk to about employee issues and information, company benefits and the time lines on those benefits, contact people for different situations, etc. After your interview send out thank you notes to EACH person you met with. Spell their names right! You should have all the names in your notes. Good luck.

Q: Any personal experience about assessment when applying for the job of Banking Service & Sales Representative?
I am applying for the position of Service and Sales Representative at one of the major banks. Does any one have any personal experiences of this or similar situations and would like to share? I was told that there would be a team excercise, a writing excercise and a role play. But details of personal story will be much more helpful! Thanks a lot!

A: For starters you will be asked alot of questions such as what would you do with an irate client. How would you talk to a client about keeping there money with us if another bank has higher rates (Sell personalized service & any other benefits the bank has). Role play may be how you open an account. Talking to old people about there CDs and rates. How to get people to see the Financal advisor/Insurance advisor/or Mortgage advisor. How much you cross sell is very important. If they have only a checking account how to get them to open a savings account. If they have only credit card how cross sell a personal loan or insurance policy. (or anything else they have to fill a quota for). As for the job itself it is a good job & you may be working in a branch environment. If your coworker / managers are nice it can even be fun. It will wear on you as far as constant customers asking about bounce(returned) Checks. High fees. Checks not clearing when they want it to. And just plain old arrogant customers. The job will help your resume. Pay depending on the location can be $35-$45,000 a year. But banks are tring to be cheaper now. Commissions does depend on you do and what the bank give per account/application/loan. Can be as much as $20,000 extra.Hard Work thou. Try to hold on an apply for a higher position that you like.May take at least a year. Get to Know the company and coworkers in other departments. The real money is made in investments and loans. Check to see where else to. Sadly only a few people make a lot of money working in a Bank Branch. Also you may have to earn an insurance lic to. Depends on the company and state yor in. Hope this wasnt to long good luck

Q: ciscofoods job as sales representative what kind of school required?

A: I don't think they require anything except for a high school degree... I've heard its a very competetive environment... good luck

Q: Is changing a job from mental health case manager to account sales representative a smart move or not?
I am a recent graduates in psychology. i am in my current job for about half year. tired of it, pay not good, people are boring. Thinking of changing my job to account executive/ sales representative but with no sales experience. I am a recent graduates in psychology. i am in my current job for about half year. tired of it, pay not good, people are boring. A: Quite a career change, but not too surprising. A lot of graduates in psychology think they want to work in the field, but not as clinicians, so they end up in jobs like yours. Truth is that any degree is good preparation for many business careers, and account sales rep is the quintessential business career. If you are bored, you may love the thrill of the hunt that you get in sales. Then, you may hate it, but it's an entry point into a business career. Since I spent my career there, I think business is the most exciting place to be.

Q: I left my job as a commission only sales representative, and the company will not pay my commissions.?
Company owes me $5500.00 for the month of October commissions. Neopost the company has always done this to their sale people. I feel I need to use a Lawyer. Does any one no a better way.

A: did you close your deals before you left? if you left any loose ends it's possible that they can claim that you weren't actually owed the commissions. if you have all your paperwork, i would just go to the labor board, you don't need a lawyer..they will be your lawyer. :) employers dont like to deal with the labor board because it makes them look bad. Does your company have legal counsel that deals with employee affairs? if so, go the him/her first. That way when you go to the labor board, you have all your ducks in a row. And also, make sure you have a trail of your correspondence. don't do anything over the phone, email or snail mail.

Q: Could you tell me about being a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative? What do they do? What is the job like?
I have heard you can make pretty good money, but is it a big time high pressure sort of deal? What's it like?

A: The job has it's perks -- you get a company car with gas paid!, and you have a flexible schedule that allows you to run errands when you need to. The job itself isn't that difficult. You have to be able to learn complicated information and use that information to answer questions from doctors, but overall you spend a lot of time giving the same information over and over again (because you see at least 8 doctors a day). You do "entertain" by providing lunch -- but this allows you to have more uninterrupted time with the docs. You are paid on the number of prescriptions that doctors write for your products...so there is a little voo-doo there since you don't walk out with a contract. At most, they may tell you that they will prescribe more of your product -- but you won't know until the numbers come out a month later -- and even then, most companies don't want you to discuss the numbers with docs -- so you are back to just reviewing the same messages over and over again.
