Q: Does anyone know a customer sales rep. job I could do from home?
I want to find something where I can use my phone and computer and not have to sell, promote, or buy anything, so i was thinking of being a sales rep. Does anyone know any reliable jobs?

A: Well, you can't really be a sales rep without selling things, can you? If you live in Canada, you may be able to work from home for Rogers Wireless, without selling, promoting or buying anything. If you don't live in Canada, you want to search for companies that have "virtual call centers".

Q: how exhausting and demanding is the pharmaceutical sales rep job?
I have heard that being a pharma sales rep pays really well but at the sames time it is a very demanding and exhausting job. Is this true?

A: I don't know but I bet it will get tougher in the future. Lots of the big name companies patents are running out, so their big name drugs can be copied by everyone, and they haven't been able to find good replacements for them through new drugs.

Q: Good Company For Sales Rep Jobs PLZ Help!!?
What are some good companies to get a sale rep job with? I know General Mills pays very well. Plz give me as many companies as u think might be good to work for. Thank everyone very much in advanced for all of your help?

A: A little advice.....you might want to make your question a little more specific. There are a lot of different types of sales reps. For instance, I am a Verizon Wireless sales rep(retail sales), but I used to be a "sales rep" in a bank(financial sales). I have friends that are "sales reps" in pharmaceutical companies and manufacturing companies and chemical companies. Try Vault.com to research best companies for sales or try monster.com and look at some of the suggested career paths sales professionals have taken. I know this is a lot of info that doesn't directly answer your question, but seriously look at those sites to get really detailed info. (btw-I get paid $60+/1st yr but I don't know how much you're looking to make)

Q: bilingual sales rep jobs in LA?
anyone know of job openings in or around los angeles regarding sales, doesnt have to be bilingual necessarily but am fluent in spanish. thanks.

A: Yeah - I know of one

Q: How difficult is it for a recent grad to get a pharmaceutical sales rep job?
I am still in undergrad but have been thinking about doing this when I graduate. I am pre-med right now so I am getting all the science classes. I was just wondering about this and the day to day life of a rep, if anyone knows, to help me decide to follow it or not.

A: Marketing skills combined with scientific knowledge are what make a pharmaceutical sales rep. Good communication and persuasion skills count a lot. Plus it's a field job so you need to be active.

Q: What to expect for a pharmaceutical sales rep job interview?
Have you ever interviewed for this position? What sort of questions were asked... What worked or did not work for you?

A: Did you take Latin in college? Are you able to read and retain much information in a short amount of time? Are you able to deal with a variety of strong willed people? Are you patient and flexible? Are you refined, as in having been taught correct English, manners, courtesy, etc..? Do you come across as bright, quick, and knowing ALL of the answers a doctor might ask you? Do you dress impeccably? Are you persevering? Do you know the many ways of prospecting? Can you manage a territory. Can you read a map well? Can you manage your time effectively? But to avoid a lot of these questions, you just need to win over your interviewer with your charm, because they know that this will win over the account (doctor) too. So, smile sincerely, with your EYES, when you enter the interviewers room, and keep your answers and anything you say very upbeat. Good luck.

Q: For a sales rep job that requires a clean driving record how far do they go back?
Is it 3 years or 5 or over your whole life or how far back does a company look? I am guessing they require that for insurance reasons... Also if it's like 7 or 10 years does "Clean" mean never a speeding ticket in 10 years? What if there is 1 or 2 speeding tickets in ten years...

A: Actually insurance laws vary from state to state. In the state I live in for example, insurance companies can only base your rates on any citations or accidents within the past three years. DMV has differing retention periods for items on your record based on the severity of the offense. Minor violations usually stay on your DMV record for five years, and sever offences can stay for ten years. Some extremely severe offences can stay on your driving for life. Just because DMV keeps items on your record for as long as they do does not mean your insurance company can go back as far as DMV has record. Employers can often go back as far as DMV has record, and it varies from employer to employer. Some employers go all the way to get better rates, and ensure that they have safe drivers. Others may only go back as far as is REQUIRED for insurance verification. To clarify, insurance companies can only go back three years to count items against you, but some can and do give discounts for people with clean driving records for five to ten years. Basically, it's going to depend on the employer, and you will want to find out what the company policy is for how far back they review your record. You can also call the DMV in your state to find out how long they even keep specific violations on your record that employers could access. If the DMV doesn't list it anymore because it was minor or something, then the employer can't find out about it from DMV even if they want to.

Q: What type of degree should I have for a pharmacutical sales rep job?
I am in pre-pharmacy right now, but I really really suck at taking test so my gpa isnt going up... in fact it goes down just about every semester. Sad but true. I love the industry so I want to stay close to it.. Right now it looks like I will graduate with a Biology degree Spring 2008. Is this ok? Or should I focus on Business?

A: Graduation (BSc.) is adequate to be a 'Pharmaceutical Sales Representative'.

Q: If you are going for a sales rep job and one of the requirements is customer training?
what exactly does that mean?? does it mean like a powerpoint show??????????? Or a presentation? It sounds scary and intimidating?

A: Customer training is one of the lasts stages of the sales process where you train the buyers on how to use the product. In simple words, sales involve these basic steps: - Identifying potential buyers - Contacting those potential buyers and introducing them to your product - Overcoming their objections and selling to them - Training them on the product and after sales support. For example if you sell software, you need to be able to train people on how to use it. Or if you sell a new device, you need to educate buyers on its functionality. Yes it means delivering presentations or one on one coaching, conducting demonstrations, answering queries. It certainly does not involve customer service or reception work. Customer training isn't as difficult as the first few stages of sales but it sure is important.

Q: Where's the best place to look for help with finding a pharmaceutical sales rep job?
I'm 25, hard working, and eager to begin. I'm in the process of moving to Chicago, Il.

A: Sorry, but now is not the best time to be venturing into a career in pharmaceutical sales, EVEN IF you are 25, hard-working and eager to begin. Google it, and you will see that many pharma companies right now are laying off, re-structuring or re-appointing their employees. Better luck next time.

Q: what other sales rep jobs are there (i.e. mary kay, scentsy, avon...)?
I'm looking to become a rep in my area in SOMETHING. It doesn't have to be make-up. Something like the reps at Mary Kay do, where people have to come to you to get their product... Any other ideas than Avon and Scentsy? Ok, maybe I should clarify. I'm not interested in the "get rich quick" stuff. I just want to be a rep for something. Throw parties for the product and sell products to my friends, damily and co-wrokers. The reason I say not Scentsy or Mary Kay or Avon is because I already know about them. I'm looking for ones I might not have heard of.... Thanks!

A: Hi, Arbonne International - Really fun and a little more than a Mary Kay. They are a Health and Wellness Beauty Company. They have been around for over 28 years so they are a really strong company but still somewhat new to most people. They are a Green Company and have been from the start. They offer over 400 products and have something for everyone from 0 to 150yrs old. I found them when looking for healthy baby products for my daughter. They have seen over 300% in growth over the last year and have just opened up in Canada, UK, and Australia. The products are formulated in Switzerland, but made here in the USA. Great way to support our country. The products only use about 1% preservatives, they PHcorrect(better than balanced), vegan certified, and are botanically based. Arbonne's motto is te create Pure, Safe, and Beneficial Products. I think the reason Arbonne is a great company to create your business with is because this is exactly what people are looking for right now. Products that are Green, Healthier than most offered to us today, and Made in the USA. Do your research. You want to pick a company that you will stick with for life. Arbonne's web site provides information on the company, the products, and the compensation plan. Once you are a consultant, you can purchase the products at 35% - 80% off with no purchase requirements. It is like purchasing a Costco or Sam's Membership. $29.00 for the 1st year and $15.00 for each year of renewal. Arbonne has a simple concept of you becoming a shopper of Arbonne Products. ( no new money spent, just redirect money you spend now to purchasing arbonne products.), then teaching others to do the same and Arbonne will give you check for spreading the word. You just create your own shopping network. If you want to earn even more money, then you can have parties and sell retail to others...but not required to be successfull. Arbonne offers tons and tons of free training online and with your team. Our team has weekly phone trainings and has websites with additional team trainings. All Free! We have so much fun and we are all over the country. Arbonne does NOT want you to keep inventory. They have 2 distribution locations in the US and I always receive my orders in about 3 days. Take a look at their website. Then if you are interested, please contact me and I will answer any of your questions and can send you links to some of our trainings. This way you can get the full picture of how it can work for you, before you sign up. And once again you really can join and get started with only spening your $29.00 membership fee. Wish you the best and please email me through my profile. Take care, Karen

Q: Are orkin sales rep jobs profitable?

A: You make a killin'

Q: I am doing part time MBA & currently working in a BPO as a sales rep.what job should I choose?
I am doing part time MBA & currently working in a BPO as a sales rep.what job should I choose during MBA ,so get an advantage after completion of my MBA.

A: A cliche answer would be to stay in sales and move to high value products like software solutions. Hey how about relationship management for a BPO? All you need to know is requirements of a BPO customer. However, an MBA also opens the door for product an pricing development. I dont recommend jumping industry as a) BPO industry is growing and b) the learning curve woud be steep in a new industry. So in the end decide what kind of job you find more interesting and go ahead
