Q: How do I get a management or sales job on a minor or major league ice hockey team in the US or Aboard?
I am looking more toward the Central Hockey League, AHL,IHL here in the US or Switzerland, Slovak, Germany aboard? The NHL management style I do not like, especially Bettmans style. I heard he is considered the worst manager around in professional sports.
A: Well, based on your previous questions asked here at Yahoo Answers, I'm not sure any hockey league would want you.
Degrees in library sciences from Australian and Scottish Universities don't go too far in the hockey world. Similar thing with degrees in cardiology from South African Universities.
You should also keep in mind that the AHL is owned and operated by the National Hockey League and it's member teams.
Funny about the Bettman comment because most people consider Bud Selig to be far worse.
As for a serious answer. Most front office positions with NHL teams are held by people with MBAs, Law Degrees, and ex-NHL players.
Also, what would you sell? Based on your previous answers and responses, I don;t see you being a high calibre sales person!

Q: Need a JOB management, sales, customer service and marketing?
I have over 10 years experience..No get rich at home job either.
A: Hi Donna:
I believe I tried to help answer a similar question( ?) - my best advice is getting the magazine success from home -
all of the stories and products in there aren't over night -
and offers some real inspiration and real rags to riches hard smart work paid off wonderful ideas - etc...
The health and wellness industry is huge but the bottom line to anyones success is passion. What do you love -
what works for you that you could "sell" and market.
Plenty of companies out there offer a wonderful product to market, it just needs the right hands and voice to make it happen.
If you keep doing what you have always done- you'll keep getting what you always have.
Good Luck :)
Q: Where would a sales management trainer/mother look for a job she can do from home?
I would like to work full-time from home, am open to occasional trips to an office or a training center, but with 2 small kids, I really need to be home according to the bus schedule. I have 13 years of experience in sales, HR, and sales training in the pharma industry.
A: You could go to peoples' companies for an initial pep rally and then do the rest of the consulting from home. But you know you'll still need child care, right? I work at home and there is no way you could do both all day without neglecting the children.

Q: I have 7 years of technical & business education but only an AA degree, how do I get better than sales jobs?
I have training, it seems like no matter how hard the work for the experience, I just can't hit a technical entry level job even with a staffing agency or even an accounting job because I have business education and over six years of real sales experience. How is it that people not as qualified as me are getting all these good entry level management positions, but I am good at selling technology so I get stuck doing the sales and marketing for an engineering company?
A: What sort of technical education do you have? In what area? And besides the school work, do you have any self generated experience in that technical field?
Because tech people who only do the school work and who do not do work on their own, for the sheer joy of working on that stuff are going to end up selling to tech people like me who actually went out and gave ourselves experience while at school.
Q: Why is it so hard for a college degreed sales and management professional find a job in Memphis?
A: My dear, because Memphis is a super small city with little or no jobs. Have you see where the majority of people work? MacDo's, Taco Bell and the mall. Most of the educated move, which makes me wonder what on earth I am doing here.

Q: Retail management better than sales job?
A: Retail management and sales based jobs both receive around the same salary but it depends how your employer is as, if you work on commission.

Q: Does anyone know if Resume Bear's sales jobs are real?
I'm always keeping my eye out for new opportunites. This one seems like one of those jobs that is lacking in information and thereby hits my BS indicator. Anyone know anything about this company's sales and management roles?

they never replied to my emails. I've determined that they are using job posting sites as advertisements. You see their job posting, click on the link, read about the services they offer and hopefully pay for the service in order to submit your application to them.
Be careful of wolves in sheep's clothing.
Thanks for the answers
A: i don't know about Resume Bear, but keep in mind how sales jobs typically work, and why listings for sales jobs can easily be BS:
for sales they can put you on pure commission based pay
this means that unless you make a lot of sales, you cost them nothing
so it makes sense for them to recruit as many salespeople as possible
worse, some places require you to buy a sales kit
this last type is a total scam
they are often not even looking to make money on sales
they are looking to make money by finding "employees" who'll pay them!
