Q: Sales Jobs??
Can some1 give me a list of all the jobs that involves sales please?? or how ever many you know
A: From your computer desk take a look around. Make a mental note of EVERYTHING in your vision. This is just one list you can make yourself that involves sales. Then go outside and look around. Any inanimate object that you can see has most likely been sold( even mother nature is sold in Nurseries).
Q: What types of sales jobs give you the preferred sales experience that drug companies look for?
Please give me examples of some jobs. The only sales experience I have is selling cosmetics, does this apply? I also have 2 years experience working in a pharmacy and I will graduate with a degree in Kinesiology soon. My plan is to apply as soon as I graduate. If anyone has advice or suggestions please respond.
P.S. please list specific types of sales jobs that are good experience.
A: Below is a copy of an answer I posted recently to a question very similar to yours. Hopefully, it will help to answer your question.

Sorry to hear your frustration, but it's true that pharma companies require at least 2 years of successful business-to-business sales experience. By "successful", they mean that they would like to see any documentation (authentic) to prove that you are actually good at selling your product.
Unfortunately, in the eyes of the pharma industry, insurance sales is considered direct-to-consumer sales, not business-to-business. Other examples of sales that are categorized as such are retail sales, real estate, Mary Kay, Tupperware and AVON. No matter how excellent you were/are in any of these, it is almost always excluded as viable b2b sales experience. Good examples of b2b sales are Xerox, ADP, Enterprise Rent-A-Car (corporate sales), Coca-Cola, etc.
Sorry, and good luck!
Q: What are excellent jobs to have prior to applying for a Pharmaceutical Sales job?
I'm starting community college in a few days for either a Business Administration or Business Marketing degree. Which is better for Pharmaceutical Sales?
Not only which is better for pharmaceutical sales, but which is more useful and what is a better major in general? I always want to know I can find good work.
Secondly, as Pharmaceutical Sales is my goal job, what are jobs that would look great on a resume before I apply to Pharmaceutical companies?
All help is greatly appreciated.
A: The drug companies have been in trouble for selling too hard to doctors so are now cutting their sales forces big time. There are thousands of unemployed Pharmaceutical sales people on the street all with more experience than you. It is expected that hiring will not pick up for about ten years.
The degrees are fine. But unless you have an inside connection you may not find the job you want anyway.
Q: I am wanting to get into Marketing to utilize my degree and am tired of sales jobs. Any way to open any doors?
I have had several sales jobs and want to do marketing outside of sales. I have recently relocated to the Northeast, all Marketing posting want experience in analysis. All of my sales experience leads me to another sales position and I am tired of straight sales. Is there a better way to get into a marketing position with a bigger firm?
A: If you have done any market research/analysis as part of your sales roles, then definitely emphasize that. Also, understanding the customer (which you do in sales) is usually a key requirement in a marketing job, so highlight that as well.
I do resume/cover letter coaching part time (I work full time as a Senior HR specialist). If you'd like more assistance in positioning your resume, feel free to contact me at interview_ace@yahoo.ca. My rates are competitive. Good luck!
Q: Should you reply to emails recruiting for financial or sales jobs?
My resume is completely unrelated to sales or finance. I've received several emails from recruiters about financial or insurance jobs, who say they've reviewed my resume on a career site. Some of them have even sent follow up emails when my email reply didn't get through. Are these legit jobs, and should I just call them out or courtesy, even if I'm looking for a job in an unrelated area.
A: These jobs are all commission only jobs. They have absolutely no risk in "hiring" you, because they don't pay you a cent unless you sell something, and you bear all the cost of travel, telephone, finding customers, etc.
That is why they can simply do the email blast to everyone who submits a resume on a job board. The more people trying to sell their product the better, since their risk is zero.
Don't bother to reply or respond, they won't give a hoot either way.
Q: Can you suggest some resources for good sales jobs? Preferably with the option to telecommute.?
I can pretty much sell anything, so I don't have a limit on what I can sell. My background includes technology sales, telecommunications and media. I'd like the opportunity to find some mid-to-high level sales jobs and would like to see if I can find resources outside of your traditional Monster.com or Careerbuilder or HotJobs. I also have management experience. Please offer any suggestions you might have. Thanks!
A: Four resources:
Softwaresalespeople.com often lists good sales jobs. I found a good job through this source.
Sellingpower.com will often list the top Sales Companies. I have found jobs using lists like these to cold call Sales Managers with success. I've gotten an amazing number of interviews and referrals this way.
I would ask former colleagues for any open positions they know. I've found this is most often the best source for good jobs.
Salesguy.org sometimes lists sales job information.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
Q: o you know any work from home online sales jobs without me paying any start up cost?
o you know any work from home online sales jobs without me paying any start up cost?
A: You could check Shopncheck.com and Cybershoppersonline.com. These are "mystery shop" sites that require site visits to the client location. There are other companies that have phone evaluations to be done, and some with home delivery evaluations.
Q: Where is the best place to find International Sales Jobs?
I have been doing work in International Sales for some time, mainly in the EU. I am an American and an Irish citizen, giving me full access to work legally anywhere in the EU.
Where is the best source for finding these jobs?
I looked in Monster and those type of places, but I can't seem to find the right fit. I have experience in building sales channels, VAR and direct sales.
Just can't find lists of these positions.
Thanks!
A: On the international market
Q: What is up with all the sales jobs?
This is rediculous. On all the job websites, there are all sales jobs calling me. What the hell do a sales person do that all of AMERICA don't want to take the jobs. I don't want to hassle someone selling a product they don't even need. Has anyone else been in sales? If so, why are there so many openings? Furthermore, why are they all posted via the internet?
A: I am in sales and enjoy it. Before you decide a sales career, make sure it is a product line you really really believe in and enjoy.
By the way, where can I find all these listing for sales positions?
Good luck making your career decision!
Q: Should I feel guilty about applying to sales jobs after an advertising internship?
I recently finished an advertising internship and want to go into advertising, but I've been out of work for a while and decided to look at other places besides advertising which includes sales. I always thought of sales as a job that did not require a college degree but I'm considering it anyways. But if I take a job like that, am I pretty much forfeiting any chances of being in the production or account side of advertising? I still have the internship experience but I need some money soon.
A: Don't hesitate -- take the sales job. You're early enough in your career that a variety of experiences are valuable. One of two things will hopefully come out of some sales experience -- you might decide you love it, or you will get experience that will be very useful to you in marketing. Good luck!
Q: Do you need a college degree to get sales jobs? and what really is a sales job?
Every Week in the Sunday paper there are tons of sales jobs can someone explain what they are and what it takes to get them?
A: No one is qualified for any job they have , trust me. Its all about determination and confidence. Apply for anything that is appealing.
Q: What are good IT/Sales (inside sales) Jobs in Southern California?
I'm thinking of moving out there in about half a year or depending on when I land a job. I come from an inside sales background in IT products and services with a B.A in Marketing and a concentration in Sales. Any suggestions, is there even any market for someone with my background?
A: Nothing much in So Cal for IT inside sales. Gotta go to Northern California (although most of those have moved Dallas), Florida is good and so is Atlanta.
If Florida works, get me your info, I am in the same career and making a darn good living.
Q: can anyone solve this math problem?"You are offered two different sales jobs. The first company offers?
You are offered two different sales jobs. The first company offers a straight commission of 5% of the sales. The second company offers a salary of $ 390 per week plus 3% of the sales. How much would you have to sell in a week in order for the straight commission offer to be at least as good?
A: about $ 20,000 is 2% give or take, you would have to sell 50,000 to break even
Q: How do I land a pharmaceutical sales jobs?
I am trying to get into pharmaceutical sales and want to know the best way to do this. I have no direct experience in pharmaceutical sales however I do have 3 years of outside sales experience plus 15+ years of direct customer service. I have a BS in Social Science with a minor in Gerontology. I have medical terminology and had started out working on my nursing degree before changing majors. I have worked as an executive administrative assistant, accounting clerk and HR assistant up until the last three years and want a new career path. And before it is suggested that I have to be somewhat attractive, I modeled in high school and college. So with all of this said...Any suggestions or leads? Any and all help is greatly appreicated! Thanks in advance!
A: best bet is to know someone in the industry. see if you can ride along with a rep for a day (shows initiative). read the following book w/ regard to interviewing: "Knock 'em Dead" by Yates or Yeates. i say this because i was a nurse before i got into pharma sales - no sales experience whatsoever - and, after reading the book, THAT'S when i started getting asked back for 2nd and 3rd interviews. it takes persistence... i waited an entire year before someone took a chance on me (and me and my team blew our numbers out of the water... trip to paris... trip to rome... multiple cash awards). anyone can do this job; and one doesn't need to be attractive to do it (although, unfortunately, that's a criteria on which a lot of managers base their decision(s)). also, try monster.com. type in "sales" in the box, and look for or hi-lite pharmaceutical sales where you're given the option - you'll see what i'm talking about. many people choose to get on with a smaller company... prove themselves w/ regard to exceeding sales expectations... then jump to larger pharma companies.
one last thing: if you can dispose of $200-300, try to get a professional resume writer to re-do your resume. mine added key words and that revision, along with reading the aforementioned book - helped a TON.
good luck.
