Q: Medical jobs..................?
What are some jobs in the medical field that have to do with figuring out (diagnosing) the problems of patients besides stuff like nephrology? I've always been interested in sorts of "medical mysteries" but would rather not go to school for 15 years. Are there any other options?
A: If you are interested in diagnosis; the only people who can do that that are in school for less time than doctorate level professions are the mid-level practitioners: physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Even medical research would require a PhD--8 ish years plus. The NO is reached through the RN to Masters nursing route; the PA through the bachelors in a pre-med, to a masters PA program (aapa.org). Those might satisfy your requirements.
Q: What high paying jobs may one get with Chemistry and Physics, excluding medical jobs, and what do they pay?
I am willing to work my way all the way to PhD level in any non-medical or environmental course. I simply wish to know of the jobs which will give me over $100k Australian without having to work in a medical area or have to live in an obscure mining location. Having a salary of $60+ within 2 years is preferable. Thanks in advance.
A: Physicists in particular are in heavy demand for mathematical finance, which can easily pay over $100,000 U.S. immediately. For chemistry there's always the pharmaceutical industry. That I don't know too much about but I'm relatively certain that you can have a job for a pharmaceutical company which just involves figuring out chemical syntheses without having any direct exposure to the medical aspects. I've also heard that a lot of professors can make a lot of extra money by working as expert witnesses in trials.
Q: What kind of medical jobs are available in the Navy that don't need to to to Iraq?
What medical jobs are there that I could choose to stay on a carrier boat? If there even are any?
Thanks!
Come on. No one wants to go to Iraq. If you're going to answer with a rude comment, please don't answer at all.
A: Ed ski's answer was good the other two were just stupid. If you go in as medical personnel that is what you are your not a fronline rifle man.
Jobs include nurses (surgical, medical) dental care doctors and surgeons and admin. all these jobs are shipbound in the navy.
If you join the army as medical you could be sent to iraq but wouldnt leave a secure base like the green zone.
And to the guy who said you want the benefits without working for it, I wonder what he does for a living as doctors and dentists and nurses in the military save lives and improve the lifestyle of the soldiers.
Good luck. check out the navy's website!
Q: How in demand are Medical lab tech jobs?
Also what is a good website for MLT jobs? I have looked at the regular sites like monster and hotjobs etc.. if there is one simply for medical jobs please let me know. thanks.
A: i dont think they are in demand, its just what the schools are saying to get people to go. i went to school to be a certified medical assistant. now i cant find a job, i had one but the business went under. ive been looking for almost 8 months now. i am very good, graduated high honors, and people loved me at the last job, so its not that. people are looking for RNs alot now though. goodluck.

Q: Hey how is everyone. This may seem like a weird question. But is there any medical jobs dealing with the law?
I am majoring in law enforcement at college right now. I am thinking of changing it to nursing, and try to get a minor in law enforcement. I like the investigator part of law. But I was wondering if there is any jobs where the law, and the medical field intwine together. I mean I could look around. But any ideas where to start looking be great. Thanks for any tips. Have a good one.
A: Sure, coroners or medical examiners investigate suspicious deaths, sexual assault nurse examiners collect rape evidence.

Q: are there medical jobs in the marines for females?
I was wondering if there were actual medical jobs like medics, etc nurses in the marines? i know there is bigger opportunities in the navy but i'm more focused on the marines only.
A: All medical services to the Marine Corps are provided by the Navy Medical Department. The Marines don't have their own medical personnel. There are female Hospital Corpsmen assigned to field surgical units and medical battalions. But, you have to join the Navy, go through Hospital Corps School and try to get such an assignment later on. Right now there is a waiting list for females to attend Hospital Corps School.
Q: Is there any legitimate at home medical billing jobs out there?
I am currently employed as a medical billing clerk at a health care facility. With the high prices of gas, I would love to continue doing this at home. Is there any legitimate work from home billing jobs out there?
A: Hi! Perhaps I can help. I come across these job leads from time to time at http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site with frequently updated job leads. You might also want to try sites like elance or guru. You can bid on short term and long term projects and some employers might hire you as a regular employee or independent contractor. Good luck!
Q: Can anyone in Orlando, Florida help regarding medical jobs?
If you do not have at least 6 mo. to 1 year experience, you cannot get hired. It has been impossible to get any call backs. I have recently graduated as a Medical Admin. Assistant and not even staffing agencies want to help because I do not have experience. It has also been difficult to get a medical records job as well. I just want something to get my foot in the door. Anyone in Orlando, Florida have any suggestions? I am thinking of volunteering at Fl Hospital.
A: Do you know of anybody that already works in that position. Have you tried speaking to your own doctor, and seeing if he can introduce you to any doctors who may be hiring? Other than that, I think that volunteering may help you get in the door. If you need money, then you would also want to get a job as well. Hopefully you don't have to volunteer full time at the hospital for nothing. I volunteered at ORMC a summer during high school, and they required 30 hours/week from me.
Q: Where can I find a list of medical jobs with their salaries?
I can't decide what I want to specialize in concerning the medical field.
A: You can go to this website www.bls.gov/oco
All you have to do is find what jobs you are looking for and it should have it in there with the salaries and any other info you would like.
Q: What are some good medical jobs?
I'm wondering what some good medical jobs are that require 6 or less years of college.
A: A RN, Nurse Assistant, Plebotimist, Pharm tech, Medical assistant, Health information technologist, Health information ,mangement- get paid lodes of money abf=d they run the hospital 60k-120k. It really depends on how much money you want to earn and if u really love it.
Q: What are the highest paying medical jobs?
And what are the credentials required for these jobs?
A: Neurosurgeons can make really big bucks, and so can cardiovascular surgeons.
Every medical specialty has its own set of internship, residency, and fellowship requirements after medical school graduation. Becoming an anesthesiologist requires a 1-year internship plus 3 years residency. Becoming a surgeon takes 5 to 7 years of residency; specializing in neurosurgery or cardiovascular surgery takes additional years of training beyond the residency.
No matter which specialty you choose, you're looking at 4 years of college with near-perfect grades just to get into med school; then 4 years of medical school (and you won't do anything for 4 years but go to school and study); and at least 3 years of residency where you work 80 or more hours per week in exchange for a salary that would be great in some other field, but doesn't begin to pay you for working twice as many hours as any other professional. You have a lot of years of training and a lot of education debt before you ever get to the "earning money" portion of your career.
Don't forget, if the US moves to a government-funded national health care plan, salaries for doctors will be determined by the government. You can count on those salaries being nowhere near what doctors can earn today. Don't believe that? Look at the UK and see what's happened to their doctors. The best and brightest UK students are going into other fields where they can still hope to make a living that is commensurate with their education and skills.
Money is a bad reason to go into medicine. You have to really love medicine in order to stay single-minded and focused enough to get through all the schooling and all the clinical training.
Q: What are some of the highest paying jobs, excluding medical?
What are some of the highest paying jobs, and associated majors? I would rather not do anything in medical. Preferably, business or law, but I am open to any suggestions.
Also, what are the starting salaries with these positions?
A: Do not make the same mistake as I am doing. My parents kept pushing me to do a job that has a high salary so much that I forgot what kind of job really suits me...
What do you prefer doing a job with high pay but some you really dont like everyday of the week through months to 30 or so years or a job you really like and helps your time pass away so fast and makes life so beautiful!
