Q: Do I have a chance at a Assistant Marketing Manager Job?
Hello All,
I have a interview Friday for a Assistant Marketing Manager Position. I have a BFA in fashion with 4 yrs of design and 1 yr of Brand Management. I am a specialist in Intimate Apparel because that has been my focus for the past 5 yrs.
I am going up against Business students who have the business skills that I do not. One thing I do have is more work experience, and a strong knowledge of the product while most business students have no idea of the process of fashion.
I am flying out for the interview so thats a good sign I was told but I want to ace this interview but also feel confident that this is a job I can perform. By the way I am very resourceful. I am very good at finding the answer.
How can I stand out?
A: At this job level most people want confidence, a desire to learn, and someone who has an interest in the company. Be sure to research their products, market and positioning by reading their product info and press releases - basically anything the marketing team would have produced. In the interview adapt to each person you speak to- let them talk a lot if they like to talk, if they are quiet be ready with detailed answers and questions. Not everyone is good at interviewing candidates so be aware of their skills and be positive no matter if they talk over you or not. At the end of the day it's how they feel about you joining their team.
Q: Marketing Manager's job is dichotomous.Do you agree with the statement? if so, how does the marketing manager
Marketing Manager's job is dichotonous.Do you agree with the statement? if so, how does the marketing manager deal with this dual role
A: A dichotomy is a difference between two completely opposite ideas or things. A job cannot really be dichotomous, a manager (any manager that is) may well have to deal with opposing views and make decisions based on his best judgment but he cannot be two different things. If he has a dual role what is it? Surely he has only one role and that is to influence the companies customer composition and customer demand in a manner that will achieve the company's objectives
Q: Would you say being a marketing Manager is a hard job?
Would you say being a marketing manager is a hard job? Is it stressful?.. do you need to be quick and organized? what possible companies can you work for?..do you work independantly?..is it all year around?
A: my fiance is a district marketing manager for an electrical company.. and it is indeed a very stressful job. He says, it all relies on you. You need to have a fresh idea everyday on how to make bigger profit.. It also requires a lot of analytical skills. He also told me that it is a lot harder when you are organizing or a leader of a group but you could work independently. He used to work on his own and it was a lot easier but then his boss assigned him to a group. You have to be concise, strict and always have a plan B in case your marketing strategy failed, because if it does fail... your boss will stop loving you lol. I'm serious. They don't care how you do it as long as you are giving them money and bright ideas that will keep the customers and loyal customers patronizing your product.
Hope this helps! :)
Q: I have inherited the job of marketing manager at my current place of work. What sort of salary should i get?
A: It entirely depends on the industry you work in, the size of the company, where the offices are located, etc
But being a marketing manager you should have access to all sorts of market research so there must be some salary comparisons in there somewhere..?

Q: Assistant Marketing Manager Position- Can I get the job?
Hello All,

How can I stand out?
A: I absolutely think so. The way you express yourself concisely and explicitely gives a very good impression. If you want to stand out, read absolutely everything avaible on their webiste regarding the company, department, products, market, etc. Being from another industry could actually make you stand out positively. Show up with confidence, a great smile, lots of enthusiasm and a feeling that you are the right person for the job. If it does not workout, it will at least give you an additional interview experience and a feeling that you have done what you had to do.
Good luck!
Q: Does a sales manager and a marketing manager have the same job?
A: In a relatively small firm, sale and marketing tends to over lap. But it is very define in a big organisation. Marketing manager responsible to get interested clients (leads), create market awareness, and strategies with the sales how and what to be done in order to get prospective clients. Sales manager in charge of getting sales and closing deals, bring income to the company.
Q: for my job as a sales&marketing manager I am trying to determine how many women ages 18-40 use online shoping?
I need actual statistics NOT GUESSES! and i need to focus specifically on handbags. How many women use the internet for hadbag shopping. What do they look for in hand bags? I need stuff like that if anyone can help... THANX :-)
A: Different marketing research companies have information for sale. You would look for a marketing research company that deals especially with e-Commerce and contact them regarding the information you want to buy.
Several methods exist for obtaining the information yourself, but that involves an extensive data cleaning process, access to records of online companies, and other statistics.
Otherwise you could interview people to conduct a survey about shopping for hand bags online. You would need to make sure that the sample was random though.
Q: What is the role of coporate marketing manager?
please provide me details of job description and principle to be the marketing manager.
A: It's a broad title covering everything from product pricing descisions, to advertising and promotion, to hiring and firing salesmen, budget and operational support procedures
Q: What are the daily duties of a Brand Manager? How does it differ from a Product Manager or Marketing Manager?
I am currently a marketing manager trying to figure out the next step in my career. I have had a lot of experience in marketing communications type activities: creating collateral, press releases, managing trade shows, and promotions. I am wondering what experience I may lack on the quantitative side: managing P&L, managing product lifecycle, product mix, etc. If I am more interested in the creative side of marketing, should I stay in MarCom? Or do Brand Managers deal with both? Is there less growth potential in MarCom - job ads make it seem like an entry level profession making only around $35K.
A: I am also a marketing student and from what I have gathered a brand manager is pretty similar to a product manager. They are in charge of essentially all marketing aspects of a specific product. The marketing manager seems to have broader job responsibilities such as management of marketing specialists and research analysts to accomplish general marketing objectives set by upper management like the Vice President of Marketing. It seems that product managers are generally required to have MBA degrees. Does your school have an alumni program? If so it can probably hook you up with willing professionals in your field who can answer your questions and provide you guidance in your career. I would suggest to follow your passion! You will excell if you pursue what you are really interested in and it will be much easier to break the bank!
Q: Manager and marketing job. ?
I'm in college and I want to finish at least my Master Degree. I'm 19 years old and my only experience is working in the SYEP company ( getting experience as a clerk ) But I will like to know what work can I apply to get experience and get a good job after finish college?
I want to be a hotel manager and market ( Promote the hotels )
A: Hi I know a company where the commissions are paid daily thru direct deposit or check and it's the best program I've ever seen. There are many great opportunities in this day and age you just need to be involed with the right company. Here's what you look for in any business or online company.
1. If you decide to sell a product it has to be in high demand and be very low in cost.
2. You don't want a fly by night company......look for an established business with 5, 10, 20 or 30 years in business.
3. Find a publicly traded company to work for that's on the New York stock exchange.
4. Does the company have growth every year that's it's been in business??? It should or that's not the direction you want to go in.
5. Finally does the product or service just make since? Is there a need for it in the marketplace?
There are incredible opportunities online if you follow these steps.....And yes, there is a home business and a company with all of these credentials. There is cost but it's very low and the commissions are incredibly high. Q: I am a Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific in a Healthcare MNC in Singapore I am looking for a job in US?
I am looking for a job in US either in Marketing management or in Gneral Sales Management, for are the job prospects in US. Can anyone suggest me a good job consultant in US ? I am an Indian national and working in Singapore for Last 3 years. I have an experience of 15 years in a US MNC. I also have a masters degree in Physics and a management degree from IIM Indore , India
A: Best thing you can do is to explore in your present company for opportunities in the US.
Next best thing is to join professional networking sites like Linkedin.com, and let others know of your intent.
Check with jobsites like Monster.com, careerbuilder.com, dice.com, and hotjobs.com, even Craigslist.org.
It is not easy to get a work permit for the US unless you get a sponsoring employer. I believe there are some headhunter companies specializing in Indian professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area - google and see what pops up.
Q: I'm a Brand Marketing Manager from the Philippines. What are my chances of getting a similar job in the US?
My experience in Brand Marketing has mostly been in the food industry but, i'm also keen on entering other industries such as telecom, fashion and beauty.
A: Sure, it's possible. However, it may be tough at first because you have no local US work experience. You make it sound like you are high up in management and would like to know if there are ways to stay in top management once in the US. You must be willing to start low on the totem pole. Believe it or not, some who were practicing doctors (MDs) in the Philippines are finding out that they qualify for no more than hospital nurses in the US. Good luck!
